PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify, plan and execute sponsorship events for Revenue Grid of various scale
  • Drive lead generation activities at events to secure maximum efficiency from each event
  • Project management of events and conference exhibit management, including small to large-scale events, including pre-event planning, on-site event management, vendor management and negotiations, post-event reporting and budget management
  • Develop event budgets with oversight by the Head of Communications and CMO
  • Create production schedules and project timelines for events
  • Hands-on operational execution with strict adherence to event deadlines; may include on-site exhibit setup and tear-down assistance
  • Coordinate with event vendors both before, during and after events (if necessary) to ensure smooth event execution
  • Communicate timelines, processes and event updates as required by the Head of Comms and CMO, or other internal key stakeholders to support the successful completion of the event and/or conference
  • Alongside the Event Project Manager, create the inventory list for each event, source and manage inventory
  • Assist with conference and event collateral design, print management and shipping aspects of the event
  • Accept other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated expertise in project, event and exhibit management, including a combination of small, medium and large-scale events, including pre-event planning, on-site event management, vendor management and negotiations, post-event reporting and budget management
  • Proven experience with catering, hotels, venue management
  • Ability to drive projects from inception to completion with little oversight
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated and critical thinker
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong writing and verbal skills
  • Proven experience working within a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to juggle competing deadlines and multiple events at once
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

We find people who generally fit this profile have a high degree of success in this role have:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate event and events management with proven ability to successfully manage and execute successful small-to-large corporate conferences, exhibits and events
  • Proven experience with venue and vendor contract management, hotels, catering and trade show and exhibit materials management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven strong orientation to detail and project management skills and experience
