The data captured by Einstein Activity Capture isn’t stored in Salesforce, meaning it’s not reportable, and is subject
to time limitations. It also relies on third-party databases, raising security questions. In contrast, Revenue Grid
stores data directly in Salesforce for secure, lasting access and easy reporting.
Until recently, activities captured by Einstein Activity Capture were not accessible for standard Salesforce reporting. To address this limitation, Salesforce has introduced the Unified Reporting Beta feature, enabling reporting across activities.
In contrast, Revenue Grid has a robust, fully-fledged feature that seamlessly saves captured data to Salesforce, eliminating reporting obstacles.
While calendar events and contacts are stored indefinitely in Salesforce records through Einstein Activity Capture, the accessibility of email data is not unlimited. Email data is accessible for six months by default, or 24 months in the paid version, with a maximum extension of five years.
In contrast, Revenue Grid ensures your captured data, including emails, remains accessible in Salesforce indefinitely, not just for a fixed period. You can auto-save past activities in bulk with our historical sync feature, guaranteeing data continuity even when you migrate. This commitment to data retention gives you superior control and peace of mind.
Due to its limited customization options, Einstein Activity Capture poses challenges for companies with specific synchronization needs. It can’t link affiliate contacts to opportunities and doesn’t support custom objects. Consequently, emails sent from a custom object are logged solely on the associated contact’s activity timeline.
Revenue Grid provides unmatched flexibility empowering you to fully control the synchronization of captured data through allowlists, denylists, and custom rules. This allows for a customized synchronization process that perfectly aligns with your requirements.
Einstein Activity Capture doesn’t support on-premises deployment, which means your data will be stored on third-party cloud databases and may become vulnerable to security threats.
Revenue Grid can be deployed on-premises or on your private cloud, which puts your team in full control over the security and privacy of all customer data. Revenue Grid also offers full encryption for all data passed to Salesforce. We support Microsoft Graph Security API for companies with specific data needs. In addition, our admins can immediately exclude personal data from machine learning models when requested by our customers.
Emails, calendar events, and anything else can be synced to your custom objects in Salesforce.
Automatic sync to custom objects isn’t supported.
The Salesforce reports you already use will continue working as usual.
Captured data becomes accessible in Salesforce reports through the Unified Reporting feature, which is in beta now.
