Opportunity is older than # days

 Signal description

When an opportunity is open for a set extended period of time, the Sales Representative gets alerts to identify and address stalled opportunities, enhancing pipeline management. The sales Director can request to get this signal for oversight of specific opportunities.

How organizations use it

Let's dive into some numbers! After scrutinizing your sales cycle, you've cracked the code: opportunities usually close within 60 days, but the safe zone stretches up to 20 days beyond that. Therefore, you set the "too old" threshold at 80 days (maximum exactable deviation from average age). The system then continually tracks the age of all opportunities. If an opportunity remains open for more than 80 days, the "Opportunity is older than # days" signal is triggered, and a notification is sent to the assigned sales representative.

Why organizations use it

  • to encourage sales representatives to review the opportunity, understand the reasons for the delay, and take necessary actions to push it forward

Configurable parameters

  • Filter opportunities to which this signal applies
