Ways Revenue Grid outshines
Einstein Activity Capture

Never Lose Captured Data

With EAC, email and activity data expire after six months by default (or up to five years if you pay). And if you stop using EAC entirely, all your captured customer data is permanently deleted — with no way to recover it. That means losing valuable sales history and customer context exactly when you need it most.

Revenue Grid keeps your data safe and accessible in Salesforce indefinitely. Plus, with our historical sync feature, you can bulk-save past activities anytime, so nothing ever gets lost, even when you migrate.

Take Full Control Over Your Data

EAC limits how you sync data, doesn’t let you connect affiliate contacts to opportunities, and lacks granular controls for filtering what gets synchronised. It doesn’t support custom Salesforce objects — which means critical data is often misplaced or inaccessible. Most critically, because EAC stores your data in a separate AWS data store outside Salesforce, it’s not reportable via standard Salesforce reports, dashboards, or Flows, and cannot trigger workflow automations via API. EAC also only supports cloud-based email providers, leaving sales reps on on-premise Exchange servers without a path forward.

Revenue Grid puts you in complete control with customisable sync rules — allowlists, denylists, and more — so the right data goes exactly where it should, linked and organised perfectly for your needs. All captured activity data is stored natively in your Salesforce instance, making it available for standard reporting, dashboards, and full API access. Revenue Grid also supports on-premise Exchange servers, giving every sales team the flexibility to connect regardless of their email infrastructure.

Deploy On Your Private Cloud

EAC stores your data on third-party clouds (AWS), which can raise serious security and compliance concerns — particularly for regulated industries where data residency, audit trails, and admin visibility over personal data are non-negotiable. EAC also has limited admin visibility for compliance, making it difficult for Salesforce admins to manage data governance at scale.

Revenue Grid lets you deploy on your private cloud, so you are in 100% control. Enjoy full encryption, Microsoft Graph Security API support, and instant admin control to exclude personal data from AI models whenever needed. Revenue Grid is SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 / ISO 27701 certified — purpose-built for complex organisations and regulated industries with the most stringent compliance requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Einstein Activity Capture, Salesforce's built-in productivity tool, automatically syncs emails and calendar events from Gmail and Outlook and adds them to Salesforce. EAC also syncs events and contacts between these platforms. However, EAC data is stored in a separate AWS data store outside your Salesforce instance — which means it is not available in standard Salesforce reports, dashboards, or Flows, and cannot be accessed via API. EAC is best suited for smaller teams needing basic activity logging with minimal setup requirements.
While both Einstein Activity Capture and Revenue Grid capture emails, calendars, and contacts, Revenue Grid's Activity Capture 360 offers far more flexibility with custom sync settings, unlimited data retention, and private cloud deployment options. Unlike EAC — which stores data outside Salesforce and is not reportable via standard Salesforce tools — Revenue Grid stores all captured activity data natively inside your Salesforce instance, making it fully available for reports, dashboards, Flows, and API-triggered automations. Revenue Grid is a customisable, specialised platform designed for complex enterprise needs, regulated industries, and organisations that depend on accurate Salesforce data for revenue forecasting and pipeline management. This ensures more control over your data, without the limitations or data storage caps of Einstein Activity Capture.
Revenue Grid provides unlimited data retention, meaning your emails, meetings, and activity history are always accessible inside Salesforce. In contrast, Einstein Activity Capture limits data storage to 6 months by default (or up to 24 months for Enterprise Edition), which could lead to lost visibility over long-term opportunities. Additionally, EAC requires additional licensing for its analytics dashboard — whereas with Revenue Grid, all captured data is available in your existing Salesforce reports and dashboards with no extra cost.
If you stop using EAC, all captured activity data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Revenue Grid prevents this entirely by storing everything as native Salesforce records — your data remains safe and accessible inside your Salesforce instance, regardless of which tools you use in the future.
No. Because EAC stores captured data in a separate AWS data store outside Salesforce, it is not accessible via standard Salesforce reports, dashboards, Process Builder, or Flows. To access analytics on EAC data, you need additional licensing for Einstein Analytics, which adds to your total cost. Revenue Grid stores all captured activity data directly inside Salesforce, so your sales reps, Salesforce admins, and leadership can build reports on 100% of captured data — using the tools they already know — without additional licensing.
