Authorizing Revenue Inbox Synchronization to Work with Your Data (Sync Activation)

Note that your data transferred over Revenue Inbox is secured and is never shared or stored anywhere, according to Privacy and Security principles.


Activate RI Sync for MS Exchange


In the latest Revenue Inbox updates RI Sync for MS Exchange can be activated directly from the Add-In; it is no longer necessary to open RI Sync settings to do that.

You need to activate Revenue Inbox Synchronization in the following cases:

A corresponding dialog will be brought up automatically in the Sidebar on the first start or in case 6 consequential RI synchronization attempts get rejected by your email server.


To (re)activate your RI Sync, enter your Exchange mailbox’s Login and Password and click Connect to Exchange.

In some configurations you may also need to enter a valid Exchange Web Services link specific to your company’s Exchange configuration. To do that, click the More v button and paste the EWS link provided by your local admin into the field.


Note that if Sync activation is skipped, a number of key Revenue Inbox features performed by RI Synchronization will be unavailable.


Activate RI Sync for Office 365

You need to activate Revenue Inbox Synchronization in the following cases:

In the latest Revenue Inbox updates the users are prompted to enable RI sync for Office 365 on the first RI Sidebar logon.

1. Open the RI Sync setup URL and log in to it via Salesforce OAuth window, then click Change and select Microsoft Office 365


Alternatively, in Revenue Inbox Sidebar, click the (Menu) button and select Set up sync (or Sync settings) in the drop-down list.


2. Enter your Office 365 login credentials in the O365 OAuth2 window that will be opened in your Internet browser:


Next, Office 365 will request your confirmation; click Accept in this dialog to complete Sync activation.


After access has been authorized, RI Sync will be running every 30 minutes 24/7 for this email account.

To pause RI Sync, follow this instruction.
To deactivate RI Sync, follow this instruction.


When you open the Revenue Inbox Add-In for the first time and log in with your Salesforce credentials, it automatically starts using these credentials in Sync settings to connect your mailbox to Salesforce and starts the synchronization process. You can always change both Exchange and Salesforce accounts in sync settings later. Refer to this article to learn how.
